Default needing first subwoofer HELP

I am wanting to get my first sub and need help. I am looking for suggestions in the $100-$200 range, i don't need anything earth shattering, the wife would kill me. I am wanting a 10" preferrably down firing. Must be black also.

What do you all think about the-

Acoustic Audio Ultra Linear PS-10380, 10", Black, Down Firing, 190 Watts (RMS), 380 Watts (Max),

or

Acoustic Audio RW-Sub 10, 10", Black, Down Firing, 200 Watts (RMS), 400 (Max),

you can also check these two as options.

the second one would be a tad higher than what your current price point is, but also an option.

dont forget about shipping cost as well....

dayton sub100

dayton es10

both designed by the reputable Dr. Hsu...

Get the RW-Sub 10. It is an earth shattering subwoofer at a very low price. You can tell your wife that you got a cheap subwoofer to please her, but we know better.

My suggestion is to keep saving for another month or so and buy something pricier/better.

Why not reccomend the HD series subwoofers? His budget is $200 max, and he might as well spend it all

I also missed the part about down firing too
If only the OP heard the HD series, he would not mind not getting a non down firing sub

From the many positive posts I have read and seen, it looks like Acoustic RW-10 is the best bang for your buck.
