I had a weird noise at one point and found it to be that the internal mute of the tv was not on and that the speakers were just turned all the way down. once i turned internal mute on, the problem went away. not sure if thats your issue but...

How about the order of turning off the devices? If you had the receiver turn off first (or vice versa if it is already this way) that might help eliminate the sound as well? We have almost the very same exact equipment, and I have not experienced anything like this myself.

You may need to power up and down in order from now on.
Trying switching your receiver on first from now now...then any playing devices (including a cable or satellite box) and then your tv. When powering down, shut everything off in reverse order, starting with your tv. Also, the clicking you guys are hearing is from mechanical relays. This is a good thing and comes from quality products. There is nothing better than a good hard bypassing mechanical relay. Photo couplers alter tone and color the signal path...but are noiseless. (depending on the circle you hang in, this can be a bigger debate than LCD vs. Plasma.) |

It is always a good idea to turn down the volume prior to shutting down your receiver, Pre/Pro, or preamp; this will also avoid potential problems when starting up the system. This is also a good idea if the noise is related to the order of the equipment shutting down and particularly as a result of the amps shutting down.
