Default Korean-style set-up

Here is our new set-up with a Korean-style entertainment center. Sorry it was a bit messy... we were moving in:

I don't know how you could show the pubic pictures of such a dirty room, like goodness gracious me.

Just kidding nice set-up, and it's a nice clean set-up.

How's the viewing position? It looks like the TV is lower than the couch.

If it was me I would strip the wallpaper and paint it a dark glossy colour, then add carpet.

Looks good though.

What hardware do you have?

The sparkle/shine in the wallpaper would be an issue for me... but for a living room it looks good....

Question.... what is the touch-screen looking panel in the wall above the speaker? Alarm? Heat/Cooling controls? Home automation

Its nice and clean but i will say that the wall is a little bare. and the tv is a little lower than i would personally like it. I wouldnt mind at least a central carpet too if not a full carpet

I like how the entertainment center separates the front speakers and how the fit is almost custom sized to that wall. Any chance of wall-mounting the TV and placing the center on top of the entertainment center? A bigger LCD/Plasma would also look good with that entertainment center as well as cover more of the wall paper. Definitely a nice start.

I would wall mount the TV, remove the bridge across the two cabinets, push the two cabinets together and put the center channel on top. This will also help get te one tower out of the corner and curtains.

And, yeah, that wallpaper is distracting.

I really like the stand that the TV is resting on but the wallpaper has to go.

i agree with lou. your center channel is pretty much sitting on the floor and your tv is a bit low (i.e. not eye-level).

ITS bad to me,everything's too low..

your center is very much sitting on the floor with no sound aimed towards you,but your feet and your dog will be getting the best sound..

the tv it's self would be more enjoy looking ahead in the middle then looking downwards at an angle.

and wheres the bass enforcement,no sub woofer???,i'd chuck that dang too low stand away its just so useless IMO to be that low and wide,Taking up your entire room...

I'm sure as hell if you had a A/V rack it would be a lot more simple and clean, with a super nice tv stand.

looks like its time to drag that low stand to your bed room,I'm sure its designed for a bed room and not home theater...cause it looks like there's clothe bin's inside them
and that's the smallest coffee table I've saw in my life.

To be very honest, I like the stand. More home theaters are going with a more modern "lowboy" stand for the Plasmas. I would probably mount the TV up about 3 ft from the stand though and place the wires inside the wall. DO NOT GET CARPET JUST TO GET BETTER SOUND!! You will have reduced the homes value and astetics considerably (IMO). At the most get an area rug for the center of the room. Home theater isn't everything and it looks as if this doubles as a living room. Modern looking stands always look best against clean walls. Losing the wallpaper and painting a "neutral" color would be best. Again, if this room doubles as living space, I would warn against deep dark colors unless you have the furniture to match. They make your space just look too small. Very nice setup.

Looks Good !!!

I like the the wallpaper. I'm guessing it's not as bad as most might think. The camera flash does lie sometimes.

If you are wanting some feedback ??? Perhaps, yeah.... mount the TV on the wall, but not too high. Bring the center channel up off the floor more and if you can remove the bridge from the stand and push it together. It would help to bring the right channel out of the corner. If not maybe you can raise the stand up off the floor a little more by adding legs or something ???

Anyhow, great looking room !!!
