Dark Void delivers a ground breaking combination of fast paced vertical combat mixed with mid-air and on-foot action.

Something is consuming our universe, a vast and ancient force almost beyond our comprehension. Millions of years ago, the minions of that power found their way to the 3rd planet of an unremarkable yellow star. Ours. The race they created came to call their masters "The Watchers." For millennia we knew them as gods and served their dark purposes, but a few humans developed extraordinary powers. They were known as the Adepts and they rose up, banishing The Watchers into a parallel universe, where they've manipulated and schemed from afar. Until now.

Developed by Capcom, set to release in Q3 of 2009!

Limited to a printing of 300 shirts, it depicts a sketch and (entirely imaginary) patent information for the jet pack worn by Dark Void’s protagonist, Will. Apparently designed by Nikola Tesla (the real-life inventor who actually appears in the fictional game), the “Method of and Apparatus for Moving Human Body Through Air in Rapid, Balletic Motion” looks less complicated on cloth than I’m sure it actually is. I mean, have you seen footage of Will using this thing in Dark Void? This is no middle school science project.

In any case, this cool limited edition shirt was handed to me by a Capcom employee who told me I could have it only if I promised not to “wear it to the gym.” Because she knows what’s up -- games journalists/bloggers wear promotional t-shirts to the gym or for simply as cleaning rags. That is, of course, if any of us actually went to the gym or bothered to clean up after ourselves.

We don’t. I'm out of breath just thinking about it.

Dark Void is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC sometime in the foreseeable future, presumably by the year’s end. For more info, check out our hands-on preview from E3.

So this game has gotten some pretty bad reviews, but I want to know if its worth $7.99? I can get it for this price, but not sure if I want to waste the money.

at 8 bucks yeh... its really bad, its like uncharted (same guys voice, same environment, chick n old man companion) horrible AI, horrible glitches if u care about trophies... idk

Can't really complain too much if you're only payin $8 for it. Now if it's $60, that would be a huge F NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was originally interested in it, but after playing the demo, the only way I would have it is if I payed $8 (or less) for it. BTW, I know where you'll be getting it from.
