Default Kuro Pro 111FD Picture Settings?

Howdy Folks!

I will be joining this elite group (no pun intended! ) in the next week or so. I know that I will eventually be adjusting the color, etc. with the more intensive controls, but do any of you have a list of picture settings for any and all picture modes that I can use after I give this baby at least a 100-150 hour break-in period.

I'll even take the more intensive color and gamma, etc. settings if you gave them as well.

Thanks and it's weird that I'm finally a "member of the club"!

Read through the thread that Crackinhedz recommended. To do it yourself, you will need to purchase ControlCal to unlock the ISF panel so go read through the ContolCal forum at http://www.controlcal.com/forum/index.php.

But the best advice of all is to hire a top notch ISF calibration technician to setup your Kuro for you. You will find several of the best guys in the business at http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=586330 (including DNICE).

Good luck.

nah, you don't need controlcal.

But yes, a professional ISF calibration would be best.

My dad had his Pioneer 6020 ISF calibrated, and he was very impressed with the improvement. He loved the picture straight outta the box, but even more so after the adjustment.

THANKS crackinhedz and coolmilo! I absolutely agree with the aspect of getting a pro-calibration. I've already found Kevin Miller, who has been very helpful and patient with me (had planned on getting my Panny 85U calibrated, until I ran into problems with their tech support people).

Money is tight...buying this TV ate a big piece of my tax check and I still have to get an extension on the 2 year warranty (God...I love that extra year on Elites!) and will probably go with a Mack warranty through Texas Tape (as I did on my Panny), so that will be another $175.00 or so to add another 3 years on the end of my 2 year warranty.

Thanks again...I'll go with the more simple "user" adjustments, until I get more comfortable with this TV (I've already read a bit of the users guide, checked out both blu-ray and AVS forums - just as I did with my Panny, so I hope to be pretty comfortable by the time my 111FD is delivered).
