Evening to all. Has there been any info, updates, or release dates to ANY film by Alfred Hitchcock? I've been waiting patiently for any news, but I'm wearing thin. Need my Hitchcock Blu-ray fix fast. Don't need to hear about crap like Striking Distance being released. Any info out there.......anybody.......anyone.....

Last I heard was that they were not coming until next year....could be wrong though.

I think I read that Warner Brothers was getting "North by Northwest" ready for a Blu release sometime this year. It would make sense because it's the film's 50th Anniversary, so hopefully we'll see something

NBNW has been rumored for an '09 release for a while now but that's about as far as we've gotten. As for any other films, not a peep.

I was watching "To catch a Thief" last night on an HD channel....looked gorgeous

Universal has HD prints of "The Birds" and "Psycho" floating around download/PS3 Store, but those may be just HD-cable upconverts, rather than a harbinger of future catalog remasters.
(For any on PS3 who haven't seen them, btw, check out the downloadable Preview function on the purchase-listing pages: Hitchcock's two most famous "fakeout" trailers, and arguably two of the greatest previews ever made.

Either way, now that all the Shrek and Fast & Furious movies are out, if Universal ever decides to branch out into BACK-catalog releases (someday...

), we already know for a fact which iconic marketing house franchise will be first.
And second, if they can get the Horror titles remastered.
