Default Do You Guys Keep the Speaker Grilles On or Off?

Just wondering, how many of you guys keep the speaker grilles off or leave them on. I personally take them off when I want the FULL AUDIO EXPERIENCE. I have noticed a vast improvement in sound quality when the grilles are off...like my speakers can EXHALE without any interference...

Off for show, on for movies.

Horizontal dispersement is key.

Well, we are in agreement that they definitely look better with the grilles off, but wouldn't you guys agree that they sound better too? Or am I alone on this

I actually think they look better on. Taking them off seems a bit tacky to me.

I love the looks of my Paradigms with the grill off but according to the mfgr

Paradigm® and Paradigm® Reference speakers are designed with low-diffraction grills that minimize interference from enclosure edges. These grills also incorporate a Controlled Waveguide™ to ensure superior wide-dispersion uniformity. As such, they are meant to be played with grills on.

But the main reason I leave mine on is that I have 2 cats and they do not need to see the drivers moving in my speakers

My speakers don't have removable grills.

If I had tower/floor-standing speakers, though, they would be on at all times. I've got two young boys and the grills would help to keep the speakers protected.

Cool

I like the look when they are off, but the grilles offer some protection from dust and kids, at least in my house they do.

I leave mine on because I don't want to have to store them anywhere. They would probably get broken if I kept them off. I think they look better off though.
