Default Tai Seng US Releases...How are they?

Just noticed that Tai Seng has released "Initial D", "All's Well Ends Well 2009", "Lady Cop and Papa Crook" and a few other HK films in the US. How are the quality of their Blu-ray releases and is Tai Seng including the same special features included on the Asian releases or cutting them out in the US releases?

So far, Tai Seng has just been repackaging the HK discs due to BD production costs.

Hello,

This isn't entirely true. Tai Seng have been adding to what is already available on the HK Blu-ray versions of the films they distribute in the US. For example, Dragon Tiger Gate offers an English dub that isn't found on the HK disc. Elsewhere, Tai Seng have also been upgrading 25GB discs to 50GB.

As far as I am concerned, Tai Seng's Blu-ray output has been exceptionally strong.

Thanks for the correction. i was looking at Lady Cop & Papa Crook which looked almost the same as its HK counterpart. I just checked my other Tai Seng discs and in fact, Tai Seng does produce new BDs with all the extras from the HK releases plus English dubs. A few also include English subtitled extras as well.

Right now, a lot of the older Tai Seng releases are $14 at FamilyVideo.com with the newest release Lady Cop & Papa Crook selling for $16.

I have the Tai Seng Initial D disc, which is great, as it subtitles all the extras from the HK release. I also just received Connected, which appears to be just a repacking of the HK disc, as the commentary isn't subtitled.
