Default Defaulting to 2ch sacd

Greetings,

Does anybody know if there is a setting to have the PS3 default to 2ch sacd?
It always defaults to multich so i must switch to 2ch manually.
The problem with this is i have to turn on the projector to make this change which i would prefer not to do for unwanted wear and tear.

To be clear on this, it is only where there is 2ch and multich available on the sacd. This is also not a processor issue, so no replies in that regard would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Greetings,
Thanks for the reply, but not what i was looking for.

If the sacd has multich and 2ch tracks the default always goes to multich or is highlighted waitng to be activated depending on if auto play is set or not set.

Again, to be clear on this. I want to know if there is an actual setting to default to 2ch on auto play or just highlight so i don't have to turn on my projector to see what i'm selecting.

the only way i can think of to make it default to 2 ch is to only select 2ch in the audio set up and not select any 5.1 or 7.1 selections. other than that, i havent seen any seperate selection other than whats on disc.

Greetings,

Thanks for the reply also.
I kind of figured there wouldn't be a setting to do what i want. I was hoping though. Setting the audio isn't an option for me because as stated, i don't want to turn on a display(projector) to make any changes before or when listening to music.

Well...looks like an oppo will be purchased when available....

Attempted help was appreciated.

Unfortunately, there is not an option on the PS3 to change the SACD default to 2 channel. I to wish it was an option, and I'd also like to be able to save different audio settings for different disc types.

I'd like to see those changes in a future firmware update, but I'm pretty sure Sony is done modifying SACD for PS3 since it's removal from new consoles.

Buddy, I don't know a damn thing about the PS3's SACD playing ability but I do know you've got some "FRAKK'N KICK MUCH ASS TYPE GEAR" in your setup! I knew there was a reason I loved bacon! Seriously, I looked at your gallery and it's really, really nice! Say hi to Nikki Yanosfsky if you run into her!
