Arrow Rumor: Megan Fox to play She-Hulk

I just don't think this is possible, but I figure it's a chance to talk about Megan Fox anyway.

Here's the story:

Quote:
BILD.COM report that the Transformers star and all round hottie is to play She-Hulk in a future film!

Megan Fox is being lined up to play She-Hulk. The 'Transformers' star is the favourite to portray the giant green female in the big screen adaptation of the popular comic book series about The Incredible Hulk's cousin. A source said: "'She-Hulk' comics are popular so it's only natural that the character makes the transition to the big screen. The idea is to make She-Hulk sexier but even more savage than the Hulk, which is why Megan is the big favourite for the lead. She'll be green of course and will have to hang on to a few more pieces of clothes than the male version when she transforms!"

Nah, first Wonder Woman and now She-Hulk. She's got the body but I just don't see her playing She-Hulk.

If true (which is doubtful, given the unimaginative mutation of the Megan/WonderWoman rumor), it'd be one of those memo clean-ups re-agenda'ed to an Avengers appearance--
Stan Lee created the character in the first place to hope for a spinoff to the Lou Ferrigno series, and a movie/TV project's sat at the bottom of Marvel's drawer ever since....There was even talk of Bridgitte Nielsen, back during the sad 90's Curse days.

("Okay, guys, this's your last chance--If you don't make my movie this time, I'm coming over to smash your Iron Man Blu-rays." )

Honestly, it really doesn't matter. She'd be cast as Jen Walters, not She-Hulk. I'm sure She-Hulk would be mostly CGI. And if this is suggesting a She-Hulk movie... I don't buy it. Maybe as a character in Incredible Hulk 2 or The Avengers.

For those saying she doesn't have the body to be she-hulk...she doesn't need to because after she transforms into her it will all be cgi anyways. Just look at Incredible Hulk, Edward Norton didn't have the body either but it didn't matter because he just played Bruce Banner. I'm all for this.

You can tell this is a baseless rumor because She-Hulk comics are NOT POPULAR.

I just read that Eva Mendes is also rumored:

Quote:
REPORTS are claiming Megan Fox and Eva Mendes are competing to star in a film adaptation of She-Hulk, Marvel's comic about The Incredible Hulk's cousin.

In the comics, criminal defence lawyer Jennifer Walters gains the ability to transform into a superstrong green goliath when Hulk alter-ego Bruce Banner provides his gamma-mutated blood for an emergency transfusion to save her life.

The character - who is equally as green but a lot more glamorous than her male counterpart - was also a member of the Avengers and a temporary member of the Fantastic Four.

Transformers star Megan Fox is said to be the favourite to play the emerald amazon.

Celebrity site FemaleFirst quotes a source as saying: "'She-Hulk comics are popular so it's only natural that the character makes the transition to the big screen.

Eva-Mendes.jpg"The idea is to make She-Hulk sexier but even more savage than the Hulk, which is why Megan is the big favorite for the lead. She'll be green of course and will have to hang on to a few more pieces of clothes than the male version when she transforms."

Comic book fan Nicolas Cage has apparently said recently that he wants his Ghost Rider co-star Eva Mendes (pictured right) to be considered for the part.

Cage - who is said to be closely involved with the production of the movie - reportedly said: "I'm working on She-Hulk and I'd like to see Eva play her. It would be her in a bikini just kicking a lot of ass, throwing cars. I'm trying to put that together as we speak."

Marvel had planned a She-Hulk movie back in the late 1980s, hiring actress Brigitte Nielsen to pose for promotional photos dressed as She-Hulk and her alter-ego Jennifer Walters.

Brigitte-Nielsen-SheHulk.jpgNielsen had just starred in the 1985 sword-and-sorcery flop Red Sonja, based on another Marvel comic book character.

Jaws co-writer Carl Gottlieb was hired to write the She-Hulk screenplay but the project never got off the ground.

While these latest rumours are unsubstantiated and sound like gossip and hype, the idea of She-Hulk getting a solo movie - or appearing in the next Hulk movie or the Avengers ensemble movie - is intriguing and could work.

But news of Megan Fox's apparent interest in the role hasn't gone down too well with fanboys, who are turning green and ripping through their shirts at the mere suggestion of her involvement.

The 22-year-old actress and model previously used website marketing to promote herself for the role of Wonder Woman and is in line to play a member of an undersea race in the film adaptation of the Fathom comic.

She has been cast in Jonah Hex, based on DC Comics' Wild West comic book about a disfigured bounty hunter.

I'd be one to say Mendes over Fox by a long shot, but I just don't think a movie like this is possible!
