Default Hulk Hogan "sympathizes with O.J. Simpson"

Quote:
The well-documented war of words between Hulk and Linda Hogan has taken an ugly turn. The New York Post has some quotes from a recent interview Hogan did with Rolling Stone magazine where he talks about understanding how O.J. Simpson could [allegedly] murder his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson.

Linda Hogan walked out on Hogan last year, filed for divorce, forced him out of his $18 million mansion, allegedly started spending the couple's money at the rate of $40,000 a month and is dating "some shaggy-haired pool boy 30 years her junior."

Hogan tells Rolling Stone, "I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody's throat. You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can't go to anymore, you're driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife . . . I totally understand OJ. I get it."

Yes the divorce system is messed up but he's no saint either. Let's not forget he cheated on Linda with a girl 21 years younger than him and also happened to be a friend of his daughter. I think this is Linda's way of retaliating.

I remember pictures where it was hard to tell which was the girl friend and which was the daughter.

Heh, you didn't put the quote where his ex-wife said that she is basicly taking that as a threat. I am in the middle of a wonderful divorce, and think that the Hulkster needs to grow up. Me and my ex-wife are friends and we've talked everything through and it's an absolutely no contest divorce with child support decided by us and not a court. It's what happens when two mature people sit down and discuss things without involving lawyers.

Sounds like a bad time for the Hulkster's ex-wife and new boyfriend to end up missing.

I didn't realize people like that still existed.

That's how my divorce went. We even split the washer and the dryer. I think I got the dryer?

I would totally be thinking the same way as Hogan if I was in his shoes.

Sounds like you're one of the few lucky ones. You know, a guy who's ex-wife isn't trying to bleed him to death, and take things from him that she didn't earn.

What happens in most divorces these days should be illegal.

Or a guy who isn't willing to fairly compensate an ex-wife who worked to put him through school, or who put her own career on hold to stay home and care for his children. It goes both ways.

It can, but usually doesn't. The examples you use are the exception, not the rule.

I guess it's a matter of personal perception. I've known many women who have had to fight tooth and nail for court ordered child support, had ex-husbands try to hide income to lower their support payments, try to get their visitation rights extended to the EXACT number of days required to be able to claim them as tax deductions, etc.

He really shouldn't have said that to the media. With that said, I feel he probably just said that out of extreme frustration especially considering the fact that Hogan's WWF paychecks have provided so many things for his family. Regardless of the personal turmoil between him and Linda (cheating on each other, etc, which is none of our business anyway), I could still see him being frustrated that a 19 year old kid or whatever is driving around the cars made of his money. I definitely think that Linda is entitled to some comfortable money, but I don't really agree that she deserves half of everything Hogan earned as a professional wrestler. He's given her plenty of money and she still wants more, more, more.

Regardless, Hogan slipped up and said something bad, but I hardly think that Hogan thinks that it's okay to kill people. I've often made melodramatic statements like "I could see how that person snapped and went crazy considering a, b, c" but it doesn't mean I condone any of it. Both of them need to grow up. Hulk has been ridiculous, but Linda is no saint either. Both of them are taking their case to the media when they should be adults and handling the matter as privately as possible for two celebrities.
