Night of the Comet - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know if this will ever be on Blu-ray? I'm convinced that the girl Samantha from this movie is what really inspired Joss Whedon to create his Buffy the Vampire Slayer character.
This movie was sooooo great!!! We always hear talk about 80's movies and how much they're loved but the three 80's movies that I have always loved never get much talk:

The Last American Virgin

Night of The Comet

Fire With Fire

I just picked the DVD up cheap. Would definitely double dip for a Blu version. If this is your type of movie, supposedly Night Of The Creeps stands a good chance of getting a Blu-ray release.

Movie freaking creeped me out as a kid. I haven't seen it about 20 years. I wonder if it's stood the test of time for me. Might have to find out.

I too got the DVD. and I saw it in 1080i on MGM_HD! it had some grain but still looked great. I also would buy the blu-ray when it's out.

I had no idea she was in an episode of True Blood. I'll have to find it and check it out.

I'm so glad that Night of the Comet was released to DVD. The quality is really pretty good, even on the big screen. But on Blu-ray, that would be awesome!!!

I remember this movie. Good zombie/alien-like movie considering it was from the 80s

I saw this movie as a kid. Scared the crap out of me, especially since it came out two years before the return of Comet Halley. Robert Beltran was in it too, and he went on to star in Star Trek: Voyager.
