Disney would make a much larger fortune with The Lion King then 101 Dalmations. I think that Toy Story and The Incredibles would be the largest grossers.

TV shows are always big money makers on DVD, don't see why it would be different for BD.

Me? I want Dawn of the Dead(or a box set of all of them), Conan the Barbarian, The Abyss, Highlander, and the new War of the Worlds(not in any particular order). I think The Abyss would rock in HD.

On a less commercial note: Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor... heck anything by David Lean. Although its not a great movie, Armegeddon would look good. Akira, Ghost in the Shell, many of the classic anime would be good in HD.

Bah I could go on forever. Ill just cut this short now.

I don’t think the studios forgot any movie. It’s just takes time for all the movies to be release on Blu-ray. I don’t see Snatch, Borat, Leon selling like crazy.

I’m going to just list movies from BD Exclusives studios (which was harder than I thought, I found a lot of movies from WB, Paramount, New Line I wanted to add) that I like.
I’m not sure how well they will sell, most should be good sellers. I might have listed a few that have been announce they’ll be coming to Blu-ray, but until I see a release date I don’t count as Blu-ray.

Aladdin (Disney)
Atlantis –The Lost Empire (Disney)
Die Hard 1-4 (FOX)
Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children (Sony)
Finding Nemo (Disney)
Galaxy Quest (Dreamworks)
The Emperor’s New Groove (Disney)
Lion King (Disney)
Monsters, Inc. (Disney)
Shrek 1-3 (Dreamworks)
Spider-Man 1-3 (Sony)
Star Wars 1-6 (FOX)
Toy Story (Disney)
Willow (Fox)
X-Men 1&2 (FOX)

TV Series
24 (FOX)
Angel (FOX)
Firefly (FOX)
Stargate SG-1 (MGM)
Stargate Atlantis (MGM)

well i doubt this is one of those awesome movies, but i want Terminator 3 released already, considering I have the first two on BD. It pisses me off everytime I'm flipping through the BDs and see T3 right next to them on the HD-DVD rack. grr...goddamn WB

oh and i think you guys are right about pulp fiction and leon. sweet one, two punch.

From the ones mentioned above, these would be the only ones I would buy:

Pulp Fiction(Beuna Vista/Miramax)
Bond movies
Armegeddon
Die Hard 1-4 (FOX)
Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children (Sony)
Finding Nemo (Disney)
X-Men 1&2 (FOX)
Spider-Man 1-3 (Sony)
Star Wars 1-6 (FOX)
Terminator 3

I also dont think Leon would be a high seller. I didnt find anything great about it. Pulp Fiction would definitely outsell it.

Also on the topic of TV Shows. I would love to see all the Nip?Tuck Seasons and all of the House seasons.

Ooh, "Heathers"... I could watch young Winona in HD. Funny, I love Natalie Portman too... pretty similar.

I think the question was about what would be Blu-ray exclusives, so I'd have to add:

Fight Club (Fox)
The Royal Tenenbaums (Disney / Touchstone)
Good Will Hunting (Disney / Miramax)
StarWars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (didn't know this was Fox, and a potential BD exclusive)
Braveheart (Fox)
Donnie Darko (I'd like to see a nice remaster if possible) (Fox)

...these are some of the ones I'd start with... (and if and when the Star Wars movies get released on BD as exclusives, say bye-bye to HD DVD...)

great topic i think, although something of a no brainer.

I agree that the Star Wars saga would tip the war in favor of BD.

Again for the eleventy billionth time - FORGET IT.

Star wars is NOT coming to HD anytime soon. So please - lets forget about it.

Pulp Fiction and From Dusk Till Dawn - Classics that I will take on BD immediately upon release.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Lucas will jump aboard whenever it will make him the most money. Remember he waited years to jump on the DVD bandwagon.

According to Amazon.com Braveheart is from Paramount, which is why it's not in my list exclusives Blu-ray only list. I would buy either way though.

I would like to add Gladiator (Dreamworks)
