I couldn't agree more! I hate the clown, he's bad for the game. Howver, I can't figure out how the GM/Coach/Owners let this guy play. Playoff time is money in the bank in any sport. The deeper the better (don't think durrrrtay).

I've worked with guys who've lost there jobs for making smaller mistakes.

He's right up there with Pronger for me, it makes me sick that a player like Pronger is still sought after as a player {after wanting badly to get traded out of Edmonton, head checking that one player during the finals a couple years back, etc. etc. etc.} it also makes me ill that he has a Stanley Cup ring.

Last yr, when he acted like a complete dolt infront of Brodure, that was just bad, but didn't cost the team anything.

When you punch goalies in the face after the play, punch guys in the face on a routine icing play, and highstick guys with 3 minutes left that all lead to penalties, you're not doing your team any good.

Being a Wild fan, I hate Pronger too. I hate the whole Ducks organization after their disgusting, dirty play in the playoffs when they eliminated us en route to the Cup two years ago. But what's done is done.

I got "boo'd offstage" at work 2 yrs ago during OV's and Sids rookie yr. I was the only person that would of taken Ovechkin 1st overall if I was in charge, and the only person who would of given him Rookie of the yr. Crosby needs to shut up and toughen up!

Pronger's a bum who almost single handedly cost Canada a medal at the last Olympics!

What I meant was If I had the choice, who would I take first overall...

I was the only one to take Ovechkin. All the other clowns were tied up with the fact that Crosby was Canadian and saw the ice better.

Not cuz im a rangers fan..but i'd be pissed too if im getting tripped up, cross checked, grabbed and held from behind by the neck, and anything else done to me AND NO penalty being called except the BLATANT trip in front of Henrik. I disagree WITH what he did to retaliate though as he let his emotions get the better of him. I wouldnt be surprised to see him suspended for game 5. Hate him all you want if he was as effective for you, you'd enjoy him on your team. Every team needs the instigator. If you hate him he's obviously done his job.

I don't give a crap WHAT team he's on, the guy is a jack@$$. If at any point your behavior is THAT bad that you're getting kicked off a team for being a man-child off the ice, you know there's issues.

If he's acting like a moron off the ice it's one thing, acting like a moron ON the ice as well is a whole different monster. He's the biggest @$$clown I've ever seen in almost any pro sport. He's also someone who can't learn their lesson no matter HOW many second chances he's given. He was EXTREMELY lucky to get picked up by New York and now even the New York management isn't happy with him, Avery is good for one thing and one thing only, and that's pushing the 'stupid' envelope.

It's playoff time, so of course everyone plays tighter. If you're telling me Washington, of all teams...is shadowing Avery...of all players, to get him off his game, YOU'VE EATEN TOO MANY BOXES OF PROSTARS CEREAL!

He's damaging to the Rangers, obviously was to Dallas and will be to any teams stupid enough to sign him.

I know what if's mean crap, but for arguments sake, what if Ovechkin scores instead of hitting the post...and the Ranger lose in overtime? As managment of any team, you better be pro-active, because if wait and react, it's too late and you've lost a game or worse.

Funny how that series contains Avery, the guy everybody hates for his inappropriate antics, and Alexander Ovechkin, the guy who for some reason people are disliking for his celebrations.

My wife knows nothing about hockey, but she has somehow found out about him and his crap and called him a real p***k last night after seeing what he did on the icing play...and she is an elementary school teacher and never, never says anything bad about anyone...
