I need good headphones (help!)

I really need some good headphones, mainly for use with iPod/MP3 players and Laptops. I used to own a pair of Etymotic ER-6is which were awesome, BUT I had a huge problem with the ear tips coming off the filter and getting stuck deep in my ear canal (requiring another person with tweezers and a flashlight to get them out). I then was given (as a gift) a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 QuietPoint™ Noise-canceling headphones, which were good, but have recently snapped at a headband/cup joint and the duct tape repair it has is kinda iffy. I'd really like to get some excellent headphones like the ER-6is, but I fear the eartip problem will plague me again. Does anybody have any suggestions?

By the way, it wasn't so much the size of the tips (although it didn't help), but more sweat, heat and earwax making the ear tip slippery.
