Anyone seen this?

It is available in the UK on Blu Ray and is a nice transfer as well as a good film.

It is a film I have been umm-ing and ahh-ing for a couple of years. I like vamp films, and Lucy Liu is ultra hot. But everything I've read on it has slagged the film.

I finally broke down and got it from Amazon UK on Blu Ray. I must say I am so glad I did. for a lot of reasons.
- The story is pretty good and a nice refreshing take on a vamp story
- Lucy Liu naked
- A pretty impressive subwoofer workout. When I finally get my dedicated home theatre room sorted, this will be a test disc I will use. It has some pretty impressive structured subwoofer waveforms that make for excellent test material. I must say that my current lounge-room setup and Klipsch subbie fared OK, but it caused unwanted resonance in a lot of stuff in the room...

- Excellent story
- Lucy Liu. Naked
- Marilyn Mansonwith no makeup. Gee, that was freaky to see. I am a aManson fan. I did see him in Jawbreaker, but that was more of a glimpse. Seeing him for extended period, tats and all without the makeup was freaky.

But what's up with Lucy Liu? I like asian women, but I've never understood why Liu is so hot.

You are correct, this is a hot movie, but you fail to mention the great shots of Cameron Richardson. While she is only in the movie for a short time, this is her best topless shot.

I only note this because you listed Lucy twice.

Yeah, it is a Universal release. They don't lock their films.

And yes, Cameron Richardson was game./ Nice shots of her.

I'm so glad somebody finally knows the region info for this film. I've had this in my Amazon UK cart for months, and posted a couple of threads to find out if it was region locked but I never got any responses. Thanks Ya'll I'm going to buy it tonight.

In all seriousness I can't understand why the film was so poorly received. Even the time line jumping wasn't just obnoxious, trying to seem "clever" like Kill Bill (where is was so retarded that they actually had to have a scene of XXXXface looking at her list of hits while on the plane so you could go "Oooh, so that one hasn't actually happened yet. This is now actually before then. How CLEVER!" (golf clap). It worked quite well in Rise.

Rise Blood Hunter is a COOL vampire movie with Lucy Liu!!! This Blu-ray is different from the R rated DVD version. It is a different edit and some parts are missing! But its still COOL. The Unrated version stinks compared to the rated R cut!
