Default PS3 wireless problems

Hi all,

For some reason my PS3 just stopped detecting my wireless. However, my computers work w/ no problems. The PS3 worked great until this evening... I tried reseting the router, the PS3, but still nothing. Anyone have any clues what I may need to do for it to work again? I have a linksys router that I bought with my vonage plan a while back... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I've had this problem before....sometimes servers just seem to crap out, and sometimes connectivity is just disrupted. If you haven't done so already, go to your internet connection settings and try running an auto detect. While you're there, you may also want to see how strong your connection is. I have also noticed that while someone is using my main computer it really seems to lower my connection strength.

I tried running the auto detect, but it doesn't even find a signal anymore. The little green LED is on for the wireless...
The wireless is running fine cause I'm using my laptop w/ no problems.

Did you try resetting the router and the PS3 one at a time?

So to get this right... your PS3 doesn't even see the router?

If you've reset the router you may wanrt to delete the linsys profile and make sure it's not using a WEP/WPA key. Also it's possible something is interfering with reception. Change the antenna orientation and if possible move the router.

I've run into this problem before a couple of times, where my wireless device would no longer detect the wireless connection and then tried to reset the device that is not connecting and the router. That would not work. What I did to have it re connect was simply unplug, not reset, the wireless router and, in my case, the cable modem for about 5 minutes. Shut off all other devices that connect to the router then replug in the router, then the modem, then turn all devices on again and they would all reconnect just fine.

I've been having this problem also ! I keep getting DNS errors when I sign in .. I have the Linksys router it works fine with my computer and laptop. I used Windows to set up a home networking connection this might fixed the problem for a good while

I disabled the WEP and then the ps3 picked up the signal for a couple minutes, tried to connect, then got the same message saying that it can't find any wireless signals.

I tried all the other things you guys have said, but still no luck. I really don't know what the problem is. I had the PS3 at a friends apartment last weekend and I was able to jump on different wireless connections in the apartment complex and everything worked great.

I guess I gotta get another wire to add to the millions running around my house.
