Default Original Star Trek...Did You Know....
Something few people are aware of, is that the original Star Trek series contained "recovery messages".

Gene Roddenberry was a recovering alcoholic, and scripted recovery messages in most, if not all, of his episodes. "The Enemy Within" is particularly easy to recognize as one.

The various episodes seem to address different areas of "personal defects of character", and it's not too difficult to recognize a "recovery" message in each episode. Think about this the next time you watch one, and you'll see.
