Here's the skinny: at the end of the movie Beerfest, it hinted that there would be a Potfest movie, but the producers only implied that as a joke. Turns out that they got so much feedback that they're considering really making the movie and it might be animated and R-rated at that. Interesting...

I don't see why they wouldn't do the sequel to beerfest. It was definately a success on their budget part. I remember the end saying Potfest coming soon. I don't understand why they did a joke on that part at the end. I really thought they were serious. How many people smoke pot? 90 percent of the population? I know it was a high number. And imagine how many people will relate to it.

I've yet to watch beerfest! I want to see it though, looked hilarious.
I don't know about an animated sequal....that seems like it would ruin it, but the premise behind it would be funny!
Although, there are quite a few movies with a potfest theme to them already! LOL!

beerfest wasnt really any good there were a few funny parts here and there but it is not a movie worth buying or even watching more than 1 or 2 times.
i watched it Sh*t faced and still barely laughed, so that how you know it isnt any good.

potfest would be great concept and everything but they will end up using the same actors from beerfest and they are terrible. i really hope they make the movie i just want them to use better actors and actually make it a hilarious comedy instead of a movie that has a few laughs here and there

So...who IS Broken Lizard, and why do they keep getting money to make more than one movie?

(No, really--Are they from Canada, did they used to have a Comedy Central series, what imagined "celebrity status" are we missing??

I'll say this though someone would sooner die from alcohol poisoning, trying to recreate scenes from "Beerfest" then someone Overdose from Marijuana consumption.

I frickin LOVE Beerfest! and Broken Lizard is a great comedy team! I just really hope that Potfest won't be animated! I would rather have a Super Troopers sequel though :/ Hopefully we get both!

I have to agree with you, Beerfest was one of the most unfunny movies I have watched. Horrible movie, Horrible acting, not funny at all.

Cut this in half and then in half again and you might be close. I realize that that might be pretty close to how many people have "tried" pot but there is no way 90% actively smoke it (I am sure you were just exaggerating).

On beerfest, it had a couple of good moments. If done right, Potfest could be Hilarious.

I'll probably skip potfest if it's animated. There is no way it can be as funny as Beerfest anyways. That is the funniest movie I have ever seen, I swear I've watched it at least 20 times.
