Question Problem with Panasonic DMP-BD35K

Hi. I just bought this player and got it for what I think was a steal ($215 no tax or shipping). I got him home and updated the firmware from 1.5 to 1.7. Everything worked fine with multiple discs. That is my background so here are my questions:

1. I hear people talking about firmware 1.8 but I can't find it anywhere. Where can I get it?

2. Is anyone else having trouble playing "The Spirit"? My player won't read the disc at all . About 9 other Blu-Rays have played flawlessly in my player. Further background on this issue is that I have played the disc on a PS3 with no problem so I believe it is not the disk.

Thanks for any info you can provide!

You can get 1.8 for North America here:

http://panasonic.jp/support/global/c...5/bd35_na.html

If you need other versions, click BD in the menu at the top.

Just hook your player to an internet connection & it will check everytime it is powered up for the latest firmware. BTW I bought the 35 a month before Xmas for $135 from Amazon & I think I had the best steal available!!!
