Default After all the noise...nothing

Have you noticed, less and less news about blu-ray, in fact let me rephrase there has been no news for quite a while now.
All the pictures of equipments have been taken in 2004.
We have been talking about blu-ray for 3 years now.
Sony made first announcement about productionreadiness end of 2003!
This sounds quite the end of the story...

Yes, a topic like this has been posted a while ago too...
There's NO NEWS !

Normally, you'd think: the closer to the launch date, more news...
Not with this. :? Or did the BDA just forget about BD?

No, that would be tooo bad... :?
And yeah, I'd like to see more news like, when BD products are going to be shipped and some movie releases for BD! ( for u film studios..)

The 'enemy' is given time and time is money!! :|

I hope you're right. I hope annoucements of support for BD will be coming from Fox and DreamWorks within the next few weeks. Not to mention a nice big list of actual movies that will be released at launch from Sony (and MGM) and Disney.

I think sony has said that they have mastered their entire film library to hd for blu ray (1500 releases), not that it means they'll release it all and certainly not at once but I think most titles will be there and many in the beginning.
Other than that, I think we've heard everything about the technical aspects and the only thing left from now until the release will be concrete announcements of hardware releases which I still believe is november/december . Another thing that will be in the news certainly will be a format war and playstation but personally I've heard enough about it where I can't wait for it to be over with :P
