I'm heading to Italy in a few weeks. Are there any releases that are region free available there and are unavailable here that I should bring back?

I would say Susperia is a must have if you can get it.

dude, bring as many "Gomarrah" Blus as you can. You can make some decent coin on those.

DEFINATELY DEFINATELY DEFINATELY pick up Gomorrah! I imported it from Italy a few months back and it was worth every penny! If you are going to pick up any blu-ray in Italy there is no reason not to pick this up! Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Now that I mention it, Im not sure if its region free or has an english language track. Im sure it will look fantastic on blu with all the colors throughout the movie. If you find it, let us know.

It's region free and with english subtitle. I saw it in Mandadori Milano during my last trip there, but it was little bit pricy -EUR34 around as I remember. I've bought the UK verson which is region locked.

I think you all are a bit mistaken, Suspiria is region-B with no english audio or subs, and the color timing is off which might upset some people. There is also no UK or French releases of Suspiria.

Two releases I have heard about that are region free with english subs are Gomorra and A Fistful of Dollars.

yeah you had me rushing over to Amazon.co.uk to purchase the bluray edition of 'Suspiria' - what a letdown.

And no need to pick up the Italian version of Fistful of Dollars since it will be released in the US soon. But Gomorrah may NEVER see a US blu-ray release!

If you're into Western i would recommend A Fistfull of Dollars/Per un pugno di dollari and For a few Dollars more/Per Qualche Dollaro on piu. Both of them have English Versions on it. Ther`s a review on dvdbeaver about the first one.

And about the release in the US, i think Gomorrah will be out, it was such a hype about the movie, (which it deserves) that it even could come out before the Dollar Films. And yes i know they are anounced on Amazon but without release date it means about almost nothing. Sometimes they are there without date for f***ing years.
