Default Blu-Ray Standard Availability

How should we get Blu-ray standard? What is the cost to buy and how long it takes to reach in US?
Is there any document that specifies the actual differences in terms of implementations of DVD-V player and a Blu-ray disc player?

Best Regards
-Amit

I think it is the same DVD-V standard used for developing Navigation-Presentation components for Blu-Ray Disc.

But then if I want to access physical location on the disc for data retrieval then I have to use different Front End Driver. Will ATAPI or any such standard interface work with this disc format?

Of course it will ! ATAPI has a bitrate of 133 Mops ans S-ATA has 150 Mops, so 9 Mops (72 Mbps) for Blu-Ray... 8)

Yep, mine too, my DVD burner is. It costs me 52 € instead of 148 € for the S-ATA & 8 MB model
