CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" Discussion (2005-2014) - Blu-ray Forum

Any fans of HIMYM? I had never seen the show, but over the last month or two I caught up on all four seasons and have to say it is definitely my favorite show.

Any other fans out there? And how do you like the direction Season 4 is going?

From best to worst

Season 2
Season 3
Season 1
Season 4

Season 4 has had a few bright spots, but has been disappointing for the most part. Ill still be picking up on Blu Ray in August

i enjoy the show when I catch it.... I love Barney, but it's got a lot of heart.

One of my top favorite shows for sure. Started watching part way through season 1 and watched it every week since. Ive gotten a handful of friends addicted to it too.

Definately one of the better shows on right now. I have to DVR it so I can watch Chuck first but I never miss HIMYM. Everyone seems to like Barney the best but I like the whole cast. Started watching it either at the end of Season 1 or the beginning of Season 2 (I think) when I realized Alyson Hannigan was in it.

I love the show.

One of the best casted shows on t.v right now; Marshall (Jason Segel) and Barney (NPH) are my favourite characters.

I wait for DVD to watch the show usually but I have caught some of S4 and I have enjoyed it a lot especially last week's episode with Stella coming back so that will be interesting.

Not counting S4, I would rate the season :
1. S3
2. S2
3. S1

They get better every year and from what I've seen of S4, they are looking to continue that trend.

Marshall is my favorite character with barney being a close second. Also, alyson hannigan is real hot in the show. Especially season 2.

I think I'm one of the only people who doesn't really get this show. Kind of like how I hate Everybody Loves Raymond.

Great show. I think this season has been rough, but both of the female leads are majorly pregnant, and one has been all but written out the last several weeks.

S3 is classic!

I have the DVDs and the Blu-ray of Season 4 preordered. A definite Double dip if 1-3 ever come out on blu-ray

i really think this is the best written live action comedy on tv right now (south park is still the best written of all), but all of the characters are great, and they all make great combinations from time to time, like barney and marshall when they are at work, or marshall and robin in the little minnesota episode, or ted and lilly in the christmas episode when she hears a voicemail he left about her, or barney and lilly in the bracket episode, the list goes on and on, and the recurring storylines are hysterical, like the robin sparkles story and the slap bet story line, i just love this show!

I say I appreciate your excitement. HIMYM is hands down my favorite sitcom of the last few years. I love it and can't wait for it's return. This season should be awesome, and I look forward to no more awkwardly placed purses and objects concealing the lovely female co-stars.

i have been in love with alyson hannigan since the first american pie movie, (i got a thing for redheads) but oddly enough, she is my least favorite of the principal characters on the show, along with josh radnor (ted), who the show is supposed to be centered around, dont get me wrong, i love the show and everything about it, i think it is the most well written and acted comedy on TV right now, but if i had to pick, they wolud be at the bottom of the list

needless to say, i am VERY excited about this coming back, as well as the big bang theory
