Default Sopranos Series Finale.

I know this is off topic, but what the hell!?! The episode was going great and then... I thought my Satilite signal went out!

There is a sense of ambivalence to the ending. Some say that the screen goes blank because it's Tony getting shot and therefore he's dead. Some think it's to leave the show open for a movie.

best show ever if you've watched all the seasons and stayed with it for 8 years you understand you cant end that show in one final blow out killm fest , lots of the people on the hbo forums who've watched a few episodes who just wanna have something to chat about at the soda machine on monday wouldnt understand why you end it like that everyone in the show has had a reflection on how there death affects the other characters... killing one of the best characters would have to take more than a 56 minute show to do ... I really dont care what anyone says go buy all the seasons and the one on bluray(VERY NICE QUALITY ) and your gonna understand why you cant just kill him off in one episode + I LOVE TO SEE CRIME pay very good ending

Yeah...that was a little bit lame. I realize that they wanted to leave it open or whatever, but that has to be the weakest series finale I've ever seen. They should have combined the last episode with this one and made it two hours or something. This show could have gone on forever, but I would have liked to have something a little more cohesive, dramatic, and (gasp) conclusive. I'm not saying that Tony had to die, but that just seemed to go out with a whimper. Maybe I'll change my mind as I think about it more.

that last scene was genius up until that dark cold blackness. you're wondering where everything is going becase they're focusing on so many different people and ______ parking. my mind went through a hundred different scenarios. I think that ending was a cop out. it seemed like they couldn't figure out how to bring everything to a close so they just let everyone's imagination run wild. I certainly hope they do a movie or something. other wise this is a bit of a let down.

The theory I agree with, is that instead of trying to live up to what fans were predicting the ending would be, he just didn't give it an ending and let the viewer decide how the story ends. He would never please everyone, so instead of trying, he just let the viewer run with it.

Not that I agree with that technique, but he does have some balls to do it.

It did leave it open to what ever you wanted to think would happen. The last scene was filled with things that made your mind think of diiferent scenrios for each character and plus it left it open for a movie if the want to milk the sopranos cow a little more.

The last 5 minutes kept me guessing what gonna happen next, which turns out a big nothing

As for the possiblity of a movie, I doubt they will make one that continue the story line. If they ever decide to make one, I think they will go with a prequel. Wouldn't it be cool to see Tony's dad and Uncle Junior at their prime?

they actually had Dominic Chianese AKA jr soprano on late night news saying "everyone lived, im glad to be apart of it" and today on msn "many seemed to think tony soprano got whacked"... they never wannted the show to be some blow um up scarface crazy shoot out and I think it got so much hype it drew the wrong crowd into the show and then when they didnt get there m16/m203 scarface ending they were not happy... I for one have every season dvd and the one on blu-ray and when they all come out on blu-ray (getting that).. it just wasnt for the casual fan, I loved it cause I was with it the whole time and understood the message chase wannted which he stated in the stones interview in 2001 "im not trying to make the same old rise and fall mob story"... lots of the people on hbo message board and msn's are casual fans and those that just wanted to see scarface... if you buy them all on ebay you will understand why they ended it that way.

LOL! I wonder how many people reached for thier remotes (like me) thinking they accidently hit a button...the talk is a possible movie or maybe a two hours movie on HBO perhaps...if you're an HBO orig series watcher they tend to do this...for example the ending of "Six Feet Under" the blogs we're flying when that show ended with everyone opinion or perspective...I was glad to see they got Phil, but the other two guys (crosseyed and his sidkick) are too slimy to be forgotten...it does make you wonder/think though...as they're always intended...those HBO bastages...
