Default Panasonic TC-P50V10 available?

I'm seeing the 50" V10 available online at Vann's, and I'm highly tempted to bite on it and order one.

I've been browsing these forums and others (AVS) and read a review of the British version of the set, and I'm 95% certain that the V10 is the set I want to get, but just as a caution I thought I'd try to confirm a few things:

- Is it indeed true that the V10 has 96Hz setting for 24p playback as opposed to 48Hz on the G10 and below, and thus should avoid the flicker issue with 24p?

- Are there any known differences in picture quality on the preset THX settings between the G10 and the V10?

- Does the service menu on the Panasonics allow enough customizing to improve much upon the THX settings?

Basically, I'm trying to figure out if it's worth going with the V10. The 24p playback issue is likely enough of a deciding factor for me (if true) to go with the V10, and if the US model is similar to the UK model, it sounds like the out of the box THX setting is awfully good and may seriously reduce the need to get professional calibration done. The fact it's a slimmer and better looking TV with the single pane look would just be icing on the cake.

Thanks in advance...
