Default Help! Need advice on buying first stand-alone player.

Hey guys...

im looking to buy my first stand-alone BD player. I'm currently using my PS3 which i am satisfied with, but i'd really rather not depend on one unit to do almost everything. An important thing for you guys to know is that my TV does NOT go up to 1080p. I own a 40 inch Sony LCD that i purchased 2 or 3 years ago that will go up to 720p and 1080i at most. I also have everything ran into my Sony STR-DG820 with an Energy Classic 5.1 speaker system.

so what exactly should i be looking into? since im playing everything at 720p/1080i, should i even look into how good a player's pq will give me? My AV receiver already supports dts-hd master audio so i dont think i really NEED onboard decoding for it. and i can't imagine audio being that big a diff between players. so the only thing i can imagine to be the biggest factor in my purchase is the loading/processing speed.... given that .... can anyone out there give me any suggestions?

I've kind of been waiting out for Sony's 360 and 560, but is it worth it? The wifi doesn't really do it for me, but i just wanna see how those 2 compare to the previous 350 and 550. I'd be thankful for any feedback.
