watched the first 3 episodes so far and the video and sound quality is very good altho i have noticed 2 instances where there was a quick speckle or 2

I was watching the last disc to get a comparison from the FOXHD feed last night and I think its much better (no pixelation in fast moving parts), but there is still digital grain and noise that was present on the broadcast version, which is noticeable in the darker scenes.

That was a fast release. Wish they would've done that for Lost.

It was released so quickly because the season was totally complete in November or December 2008. Instead of showing 8 episodes after the writers strike ended they decided to wait and refine the season and start it in January 2009 instead of 2008.

I got it! I'm watching episode 1 right now! I'd give it 4.5/5 for PQ 5/5 for AQ! My review for my site will be done next week, possibly the first week in June. Lots of stuff to watch.

Not too huge on the case it comes in, but I guess it works. Sure better than the DVD case that is literally the size of a standard DVD case (& fits 6 discs somehow).

I just saw this at Fry's for $39.99

I've never watched 24 but Idk why, I thought the cover was badass.
Made me want to buy it, haha.

Not impressed too much by PQ versus Fox's HD feed on TV, but the AQ is outstanding.

I don't have the box set so I can't make a comment on it. However having watched the entire season in HD for the first time, i'd be shocked to see high video or audio quality scores for this one.

I sampled a couple episodes last night. The transfer looks marginally better than the Fox HD broadcast. The lossless audio has a lot more punch though.

I only watched a few of the extras, but they were all in HD. The featurette on Season 7's development on Disc 6 was interesting. It was refreshing to hear the writers admit that Season 6 sucked.
