Post any titles which to you should or could be better. A few to start off with:
Speed Racer - Needs a lossless soundtrack. What were WB thinking ![]() The Guard Post (G.P. 506) - Again needs a lossless soundtrack. House of Flying Daggers - Desperately needs a remaster. Just look at the Curse of the Golden Flower. |

Robocop, too much damn grain they could have cleaned it up a bit.
Predator, same problem too much grain needs to be remastered and cleaned up. Gremlins, needs more deleted scenes and fix the cover art damn it that is the ONLY DVD/Blu Ray I ever have actually hated the cover art Mortal Kombat, could have included some more extras I liked the cartoon being included but that was basically it, I would have liked the music video and maybe some more commercials and behind the scenes stuff, especially more on the making of the movie and the back story. |

Like HD Goofnut mentioned in his long post, I'd say Edward Scissorhands, but that's just because it's my favourite film of all time and it deserves a lot better than what is available now. It's not a bad release, just average on every level.

It's matter of opinion. I thought the night scenes in particular looked great. Everything looked blue in previous releases.

My main two are:
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - possibly the worst application of DNR, EE and contrast boost to supposedly get a new generation interested in it. A generation that apparently likes skin without texture. In some movies it could be excused, but in a Leone movie with those extreme close-ups, it's a big detriment. Would pay good money for a remaster on the level of Once Upon A Time in the West. American Beauty - This is just a godawful transfer. It's over-sharpened to the point that there is just a jagged, noisy look to the entire picture for the entire running time. It's a horrible master and a bad transfer. I can't believe they did this to one of my favorite movies. Especially since Sapphire SHOULD have learned their lesson after Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan to do it RIGHT the first time. Next would be all Alliance Canada releases. Yay, we get certain movies early, BOO they are HDTV masters with almost no work done to them and often look as bad as the DVD counterpart (Requiem for a Dream). There are exceptions, but generally I would like to see Alliance Canada wait for the US masters or do a professional job themselves. |
