Cool Broken bones anyone??? Extra "parts" added to your body???

So who's been in an accident of some kind, or just horsin' around and broke a bone or two, or more??? I know you guys are out there, and I feel your pain.
About five years ago I was riding my motorcycle home from work (at time of impact I was only 4 blocks from my house) when a full-sized truck pulled out in front of me. I hit the side of the truck and flew about 20' landing on the sidewalk, on my unprotected head. Nope, no helmet at the time. (I was a dumba$$) Any how, ended up breaking my ankle, now I have a plate, and 4 screws in my ankle.
Two years later, I'm on my way home again, this time about a mile from home, and another similar situation, car pulls out. This time instead of hitting the car, I decided to just lay the bike down. Well, when I did, my right foot twisted 180º So I ended up getting a spiral fracture in my tibia, and my fibula broke as well, along with some jacked up tendons and ligaments. I now have a titanium rod running through my entire tibia and only five screws
The first accident I looked like I was going to have to wear a mask my whole life , i had some gnarly road rash from that one.I healed up nicely from it however. I kept my face lathered in vitamin E oil (that ish is awesome!) So my second accident, no road rash, but I got jacked up twice as bad The scars look pretty bada$$
CHICKS DIG SCARS!!!

So share a story of yours if you want I'd love to hear about it.

I broke my left arm playing football in the 7th grade and broke my left ankle playing football my junior year.

All my current "parts" were given to me my my mother. Nothing artificial here.

Tommy John surgery x 2. I guess that would be considered an extra "part" added maybe.

never had a broken bone in my life. i've had stitches 3 times (foot, head and leg...al separate occasions), but no broken bones.

never been admitted to the hospital for anything either. and the only time i've ever been to the doctor (other than the stitches) was for a physical.

No broken bones but when i was about 10 or so i was trying to get up into our truck to go somewhere and the next thing I know I am at the hospital. Turns out i slipped when trying to pull myself up and I landed on my head on this brick planter we had on our driveway. I got stitches to close it up. It was weird just waking up in a hospital I was wondering what the heck happened.

Broke my right pinky playing basketball when I was on the basketball team.

Sprained my left ankle pretty bad playing basketball 4 years ago. Haven't played ball as much since. I may shoot around every once in a while.

Dang! there's some awesome injuries in here!

myself, i've broken

-both ankles, each ankle broken twice playing basketball. at one point, i had both broken at the same time.

-my nose, broke it twice in a two week time frame. this actually worked out well for me, both playing basketball, the first was from a shoulder i caught with my nose, it dislocated my nose to the left. the second, was from my best friends elbow that straightened back to the right for me.

-my left arm, summer between 5th and 6th grade. no insurance at the time and i still don't have full range of motion. this essentially ended my baseball career(not that i had one, just that i couldn't swing a bat properly anymore)

-several fingers, several times. all my fingers are crooked.

I broke my left arm while sliding as a child. It sucked cause that meant no hockey for the rest of the year and when I went back the next year, everyone else was so far ahead of me that I lost interest. That was decades ago and I still regret that.
Broke my nose at least once, maybe twice while fighting.

Billy13, your stories freak me out and I hope you don't get hurt from anymore ignorant drivers.

Broke my pinkie a couple years ago playing baseball, thought it was just a bad sprain until all the swelling went down and I could see how crooked my finger was... by then it was too late to do anything with it, painful every once in a while and I can no longer crack that knuckle.

Cut one of my toes off by stepping on some glass while walking in a lake as a kid, was just dangling there but they were able to reattach it and it still works just fine.

When I was 6 years old I was playing hide and seek with the neighbours kids, we only had a small area to play in so the rules were who ever was searching had to have their eyes closed. Anyway, when it was my turn to search with closed eyes I slipped on some water on the ground and smacked my nose on an outdoor tap and broke it, my nose also needed stitches.

I got hit by a car when I was 15 and broke my left hand. I refused to go to the doctor, though about 10-14 days later my mum made me go cause I was complaining that my hand was saw. Problem was the injury had already started to mend itself, joining in the wrong places, so the bones had to be rebroken.

Also, not long after I turned 18 I dislocated my left knee (I remember it looking like I had a whole other leg) by just being stupid mucking around with some mates.

About a year or so ago, I dropped a shower screen on my right big toe and broke it. Now I can only bend it half way. I've actually still a picture in phone of the bruising, it was bright purple for about a week afterwards.

I've also burnt myself numerous times, such as a few years back when I was cooking with my shirt off and hot oil splashed up all over my right arm and chest. I've got some small scars as well, one on my left cheek caused from falling glass hitting my face.

A guy that my fiancée went to school with jumped out of a tree into a lake, but he didn't realise how shallow it was. The injury from the impact caused him to lose his leg.

I broke some bones in my hand when I was 13 or 14. I was at a wrestling camp and when I went in for a shot my hand hit the guys knee. For most of that summer I had to wear a splint that into the shape of a claw. In addition to being uncomfortable I wasn't able to play baseball that summer, which was probably my best sport at the time.

The only scary thing was, the first accident, I was more worried about messing up a new tattoo I had just got 3 days prior, when I was in the ambulance on the way to the hospital I asked the guys "hey I didn't F up any of my tattoos did I?" They were like WTF?!

2nd accident, I was only upset because I was with two of my buddy's and they just stood there askibg if I was ok, while the bike is still on top of me they didn't think I was hurt because I don't really show when I'm hurt

All of these storirs are great! I appreciate everyone sharing a scary part of life with all of us, thanks, and keep 'em coming
