Peaky Blinders is on my Netflix watchlist. I like Cillian Murphy. Also, since you reccomend it I will move it to the top of my list. I watched The Conformist by Bernardo Bertolucci a couple of nights ago on Netflix and really enjoyed it. Bertolucci's Last Tango in Paris is probably one of my least favorite films so I was surprised that I enjoyed The Conformist.

Please let me know what you think of A Brief History of Time and Hiroshima mon Amour after you have a chance to check them out. I am interested in both titles. Hope you get to finish Daredevil soon. Filming for the second season began recently. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hey Bill! Hope you are doing well! I noticed that you have 8 1/2 in your collection. I just watched it for the second time in years recently. I look forward to adding it to my collection soon. I would like to recommend that you consider purchasing Day for Night when it is released next month by Criterion. DFN is another great film about film. Would make a great double feature with 8 1/2.

Also, Westerns and Horror are my least favorite genres as well. Although, Once Upon a Time in the West is a great spaghetti western and one of my favorite films. You might want to check it out. Take care of yourself. Sincerely, Meek

Aarrgg! I ran out of characters too! So, do you think you will watch the 10 remaining episodes of Daredevil? I enjoyed watching the entire first season with my parents.

I hope you will recover from your back injury soon!

Hey Bill! You can keep calling me Meek because that is my real life nickname. I have never watched Ray Donovan or The Wire. Critics and several people on this forum say that The Wire is one of the greatest shows of all time, so I guess I should at least give the first season a try. I'm worried about adult content though. I can handle some language, sexual content, and violence. However, I think that The Wire may be too hard of a R rated or MA show for me. Daredevil MA rated material might be as far as I'm willing to go nowadays.

Actually, I might be a hypocrite because one of my favorite shows is Archer and I'm guessing that it is not too far off from the content in The Wire. Archer is hilarious, so maybe that is why I give it a pass on content. By the way, there is quite a bit of overlap between cast and crew on Archer and Arrested Development. I recommend Archer, if you haven't seen it yet.

I should have known that with a Summer Glau avatar that you are a Firefly fan or a Browncoat. I enjoyed Firefly enough to look forward to a continuation of the series. So, I hope that Joss and the gang will get another chance like the Arrested Development crew. I haven't seen the most recent season of Arrested Development. Have you? It was one of my favorite shows before it was cancelled. If you like superhero shows, you should give Daredevil on Netflix a try.

Also, I watched Time Bandits(Criterion blu-ray version) last night for the first time. May favorite Terry Gilliam films are now Twelve Monkeys and Time Bandits. I need to give Fear and Loathing a second chance and I'm not too fond of Brazil. Criterion really puts together some amazing editions for his films though. I wonder what they could do with Twelve Monkeys.

Hey theater dreamer! I just read your message from a couple of days ago. Sorry for the late reply. I need to log in and check my messages more often.

I haven't seen A Brief History of Time, but it is on my very long watchlist. Hulu Plus is a great resource for watching Criterion titles as you mentioned. Netflix also has a few titles like Bad Timing and Frances Ha. Lately, I have recorded a few movies in the collection off of TCM, such as Bergman's The Magician and Truffaut's Jules and Jim. I hope you have access to Netflix and TCM also.

There are so many films/directors to discover just within the Criterion Collection. I started with The Rock several years ago and I'm still at the tip of the iceberg.

I have Criterion Collection recommendations for you based on your current blu-ray and DVD collection. The original 3:10 to Yuma with Glenn Ford is in the collection. Also, the Criterion Collection's edition of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is highly rated. Rushmore and Fantastic Mr. Fox are two of my favorite Criterion's that you might enjoy since you own Grand Budapest Hotel. If you want to discover a new director, I recommend Krzysztof Kieslowski. The Double Life of Veronique and The Three Colors Trilogy are regularly mentioned in any Criterion top 10. Last recommendation: Blow Out. Hope this helps you out somewhat.

I'd be happy to offer you suggestions for Criterion releases to add to your collection. What kinds of films are you looking for mostly? What kind are most important to you? Are you mostly interested in traditional storytelling? Or you that also a fan of arthouse films? Are you looking to add subtitled foreign films to your collection? Sorry, if that response seems kind of formal, feel free to answer however you want.
