Hi Randy,

Your review of Angels with Dirty Faces does not say whether it is a regular (real) blu-ray, or whether it is a 'Made on Demand' release, and I can't find a photo of the disc itself anywhere.

Is it a 'Made on Demand' disc, and if so, does that mean it's a BD-R with a limited lifespan?

"Had WB included a remastered Blu-ray, it would've been interesting to see this new master without HDR metadata added; even with the drop in resolution, it may have competed better than you might expect."

I'm curious about that as well. Would it be possible to disable HDR on your display, and thus reveal what you were seeking? I'm pretty sure I can on my Samsung screen, though I haven't checked the menus to confirm that.

If not, I'm sure there are many sets _without_ HDR, and they all ignore the metadata. Perhaps you have an old one around still, or could check it out on one.

Thought I'd drop you a line about you September 2021 review of the blu-ray release of A Night at the Opera (1935). I was comparing the screencaps to the TCM streaming version to try to determine if it's from the DVD scan or the 2021 Warner 4K scan, and I noticed that the screencaps, while 1.37:1, are slightly zoomed but also stretched horizontally compared to the 1.33 screencaps on the DVDBeaver 2004 review:

Not sure if I'm seeing this correctly, but it appears that the blu-ray has an aspect issue, or perhaps I'm just seeing it wrong. I have a couple grab images that show the difference but couldn't get them to attach here.

You gave the 4K releases of The Batman and DC League of Super-Pets 4 star ratings, but gave their Blu-ray releases 3.5 star ratings even though both movies were well-received and their Blu-ray releases store the bonus features which 4K sometime lacks.

What's up with that? Are you trying to give Blu-ray a bad name? Just saying.

I also had an issue watching Lost Boys 4k disc on my Oppo 203. Screen goes dark at 1:26. I wonder if it’s an issue with Oppo. It’s very upsetting buying and not being able to watch it entirely.
