Default Any V10 reviews coming in yet???

I'm a bit surprised that none of the pro sites have posted their V10 reviews yet. I thought for sure CNET or Home Theater Magazine would've posted something by now. So far I've seen one review and that was on the UK V10 which does not have the advanced picture settings. I want to see a US review and, more importantly, I want to see how it compares with the Kuro, the G10, and Samsung plamas!

Same here...my brother's on the fence about it just cos there are no reviews on the North American models [I'm guessing Canada will have the same models].

Ditto.

Can't wait. It has been tempting to go ahead and get the G10 but I keep telling myself, the V will be better

does anyone know when the V10 is going to be available for sale? I was also thinking about getting a G10 but I'm curious about the V10, whats the price difference between the two?

That one has been posted before, I think. Its nice to see THX mode really working its magic! The U.S. model should be even better, with more tweaking options. I'm gunna have to go see one (the 65"!!).

Yeah that there is the UK model which is supposedly on a lower tier as far as calibration is concerned. Ours should be better

Yeah that's the UK review. I've seen that one. The problem is that the UK V10's do not posess the advanced picture settings that US and Euro V10's have. So theoretically I believe the US and Euro models can be tweaked to have an even better picture which SHOULD result in a higher score.

Thumbs up V10 In Stock

I've been waiting too. I just saw today the 50" and 54" are "In Stock" on the Panasonic website.

It's been available for a few weeks now. The place I got mine from (Vann's) seems to have been the first one to have them in stock, and I think I read on the AVS forums that they have more in stock again for sale.

According to that review its more accurate than the G10, so I'd say that's a very good sign. The major gain over the UK model should be gamma adjustment. Hopefully this will be useful in the custom mode improving upon the THX mode's picture which according to the review is very good already.

Arghh the wait is killing me!! I've pretty much narrowed it down to either the Panasonic 58" V10 or the new Samsung P58-860. I just need to see some reviews and comparisons between the two.

From what I understand, the Panny beats the Sammy in blacks in a dark room, (they're saying this year's Sammy is equivalent to last year's Panny 800u in regards to black levels). However I've also read that in brighter environments the Sammy beats the Panny because it has a better/darker AR filter.

I guess there's some trade offs between the 2 sets. Asthetically I actually like the look of the Sammy set better. It's thinner at 1.2 inches and just looks more eye-pleasing. However PQ and video performance is most important to me!

You like the Sammy's looks over the V10's? I'm partial to the V10's looks but then Sammys always looked fragile to me compared to Sonys and Pannys.

http://whathifi.com/Review/Panasonic-TX-P42V10/ Remember its the UK edition with the gimped menus and What Hi Fi also have a somewhat controversial reputation when it comes to reviews in general and this one in particular as you can see from their forums http://community.whathifi.com/forums/t/254825.aspx

Yeah I think they look very sleak, much like their new LED LCD tv's minus the horrid "touch of color" red. I don't think they look cheap at all. Plus I like the swivel base on the Samsung.

Yeesh, that's pretty embarrasing how much Fuller's comments are ignored by the people that wrote the article, then Clare Newsome comes in and completely tries to pull wool over everyone's eyes by talking about how much set-up and testing they do while still neglecting to post a SINGLE measurement or testing device used in their review.

What a load of rubbish.
