Default samsung plasma issue please help

I have an older Samsung plasma model HP-S4253 and recently i have noticed in the upper right corner and along the left side blue pixeling. Its really bad with black and white or a car commercial that has a lot of black on it. Any ideas what could cause this, could this be a bad HDMI? Any suggestions for the fixing the issue?

I had issues with my HP5054 and luckily the my extended warranty doesn't expire until the end of 2010. Basically, I was seeing pink and red speckles in the black area of every scene. This was really annoying and finally I could not take it anymore. I called the warranty company and they sent someone out to look at the panel. After about 5 minutes, they said that this is a fairly common issue with Samsung Plasma's so they took it back to the shop. I called every other day to get the progress. First they replaced the motherboard, but that didn't fix the problem. Finally, they said that the panel had to be replaced. They went ahead and did the, all under warranty. The only bad part, is that they had my panel for almost 2 months waiting for the part. But it was worth the wait because the set runs better than new!

I have the same model and exact same issue throughout the entire panel. It's terrible for movies like the Dark Night. I've done research on the issue and it sounds like it is a problem caused by samsung and unfortunately it's not covered by them(SUE THEIR ASSES!). The voltage drawn by the tv is set too high causing this issue and can be fixed by having a tech come in and lowering it to the proper amount. It'l probably cost around $150 to have this done but if you are good with service menus, u may beable to fix it yourself but you risk damaging the tv more at the same time. Personally, i'm going to wait for the day that i want to replace it to try and fix it myself. This way if i break it, no biggy i was getting a new one, or if i'm lucky and fix it i may beable to talk someone into buying it for a couple benjamins.

Good luck with the repair!

So call me lucky or whatnot but apparently i have an extended warranty on this from sears. I just got a phone call from them saying my samsung plasmas warranty will expire on July 30th and were wondering if i wanted to renew it. The earliest they can get a tech to my house is on the 31st but they said i'd still be covered since i called before the expiration.
