Default "Atonement" on Blu-ray anytime soon?

Anyone seen anything about the movie "Atonement" coming to Blu-ray?

I've pretty much stoped buying SD DVDs so I hope this one will be available in HD soon.

Atonement came from Focus Features, which was formed from the merger of USA Films and a couple of other small studios. It is distributed by Universal, and given big U's recent announcement, I would think that this would be a high priority title for them. Some of the other titles from (or owned by) Focus include 'Pride & Prejudice' (the Keira Knightley version), Traffic, Lost in Translation, Brokeback Mountain, The Constant Gardener, and number of other well-known films. I think these, along with those from Miramax(yes, I know it's Disney)/Weinstein/Dimension are probably some of the better small-studio releases that we can look forward to now that the world has gone Blu.

Some Dimension films are own by Disney, and some are owned by the Weinstein Company.

I'm pretty sure that HDD ran a story last week which cited Universal as saying that their HD DVD plans are in a state of flux right now and not to expect any additional HD DVD releases, pending an official announcement. I believe that statement was a direct response to a question asking about Atonement.

I believe it's also under Universal UK. So if they release it on BD there, we'll have it for Region A. Or maybe they'd make it all Region ABC.

Love the film. Love the score. Love the cinematography and art direction.

Since this was up for Oscars, i can see this as one of the first titles Universal brings to bluray as a day and date title.
