I saw this, It's good but The Dark Knight was better, Slumdog doesn't really "kick in" till the last 30 mins or so.

I agree...it had a lot of slow parts.

They're not comparable by any means. PQ and AQ you can compare when released, but the movies themselves are completely different.

Surely preferring one or the other is fine, but to say one is better than the other isn't really fair to do.

Ill prolly pass. I liked it, Buy not as good as people make it out to be. Doubt, the wrestler or the dark knight should have a spot for best pic oscar. Not this.

I think Slumdog Millionaire deserves a spot for best picture, and feel that it deserves to win. It's a great film.

I do agree with The Wrestler. It's should've been nominated instead of The Reader in my opinion. I don't feel Doubt should be in the running though, great film, but not best picture worthy.

And I don't think the Academy feels comfortable enough to have a comic/superhero movie being in the running for best picture, although The Dark Knight is a great film and worthy enough to be up there with the rest.

i think what he means is, the dark knight was a better film, I agree with that. To bad it got snubbed. I mean you can say the godfather is a better film then scary movie right? Even tho they are completely different.

Are people seriously comparing Slumdog Millionaire to TDK in this thread?

You cannot compare these two films. They're both excellent in their own ways.

The poster stated that The Dark Knight was better than Slumdog Millionaire. If he thinks it's better then there's nothing wrong with that. It's his opinion, but what I said is it's not fair to say one's better than the other. There's nothing wrong with preferring one over the other though.

I prefer The Godfather and feel that it's one of the better movies out there and that Scary Movie sucked, but I would never compare the two.

It's all subjective.

I understand that. I did not think he was comparing them. I can see what he means cause people say these things all the time and then others take it as if hes comparing them. Maybe he is, I just thought i GOT what he was saying in a way. lol Hard to understand, i duno.

Yeah, I know what you mean, and I guess I shouldn't have nitpicked his comment, but it seemed to me as if he was comparing the two.

Both are great movies nonetheless.

There is a thread indicating that Slumdog will be released in the US on 31st of March. The UK release seems to be delayed until 1st of May (according to Amazon UK). If this is the case, wish to find out whether the US release would be region free.

Has anyone checked this?

Does the Slumdog Discovered interactive picture in picture track actually work or is it just used infrequently?
