Default Low-budget options?

I had not planned on making the jump to Blu-Ray for a while; I am trying to get my freelance business off the ground, so all my finances have gone into that venture, leaving very little left over for any luxuries.

But I'm a big Pixar fan, and I'd like to be able to enjoy all the features included on the Blu-Ray discs for the last two Pixar movies -- features that were not included on the DVDs (like commentaries).

However, I do not have a large budget to throw into a Blu-Ray player and high-definition television. Are there any low-budget options? (And I mean low, as in $300 or less.)
