Default lcd question

any help greatly appreciated. I have a new 1080p lcd and it has ghost lines horizontally moving vertically up the screen, its not that noticable unless you are close to the set, but still annoying. is this normal for lcd's? I have a 720 plasma and it doesnt do this.

I''ve seen this often in computer monitors of various types. It almost always is a problem with power, not with the screen.

There may be too many devices on the same 120v circuit, creating interference or drawing down too much power. Or there may be something with an electric motor - a refrigerator, electric space heater, or a computer power supply - that is creating interference. It doesn't have to be plugged into the same wall socket, either, since the house wiring may supply multiple sockets on the same circuit. The culprit could be in another room.

Circuit isolators (Monster and APC have them) are very expensive. Try turning off everything other than the TV, or plugging it into a different wall socket. I doubt if the TV is the problem.

Just use the search function there are 100's if not 1000's of threads that give you an idea of what to buy.
