In another forum, a guy said he got a new LCD TV and the delivery people told him not to turn it on because it was very cold (About 10 degrees) outside, and it needed to warm up for "8 or 9 hours" before turning it on. Sounds like BS to me, but it got me curious. Is this necessary?

This may have been said if it was a LCD projection TV, for the bulb is sensitive. As for flat panel, its smart to let the equipment get to room tempature first to avoid potential condensation build up.
GTsmokeya No its not BS. |
