The Silence of the Lambs Blu-ray Review

MGM/Fox have at last announced a March 3 street date for the classic:

There's no tech specs, but let's hope this is not yet another bare bones MGM release.

MSRP is $34.99.

Bare Bones would be fine with me...... I don't think my DVD transfer is very good on this one..... I'd have to look at the audio specs again.

The only problem is that it's an MGM/Fox release. Going to cost a bit to get this on day one.

Wow. I had better stock up on fava beans. Looking forward to Clarisse and Hannibal Lechter on BD.

I have the Criterion and it's awful looking.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was bare bones. I think this is one of the titles Fox/MGM announced for 2007 before canceling everything. And most of those titles were bare bones, MPEG-2 releases.

If it is... I'll stick with my fine 2-Disc DVD. I won't support shoddy barebones releases.

Well, the Criterion is non-anamorphic, so it's not surprising that the quality isn't as good as we'd like.

I'll upgrade if this includes the extras from the 2-Disc set. I'll pass if it's just bare-bones.

I will be keeping mine as well I will rent it and see how the transfer is before I buy it.
