Default should I purchase? LC-37D62U

hello,

I'm looking to purchase this tv just want to know if I should bite the bullet. Currently have 100 dollar rebate and free toshiba upconvert dvd player.

I don't know if I should bite the bullet or wait. I plan to keep it for years to come.

I have a sylvania tube tv that was purchased like 8 years ago thats still going strong And looking for the same longitivity but the way they building things these days I dont think It will go that long. considering i'm paying 1500 for it +260 for 3 year extended warranty thru sharp. over 5 years thats like renting it 352/year of service. 3 years gives me 587. Least by than OLED should have matured or dropped in price of the plasmas. I will be doing game play (ps3) and watching bluray and digital tv.

If anyone have this please shed some light on this display.

I had a vizio 32". it was HORRIBLE with standard definition. my 8 year old tv displayed better.
