Default HDMI on 720p/1080i

I just bought a new HDTV (see sig below) that is on it's way in 3-5 days. Now the TV that I have right now runs on component cables because it does not have an HDMI input. Will HDMI make any difference at all on the TV, or should I just stick to the component cables?

I know they are really cheap at monoprice.com ( which all you guys have said) but if it isn't going to make a difference I won't order one.

I know it does, I probably should have clarified this, sorry. The TV that I'm currently watching (21" Sanyo) has no HDMI inputs. The one that is on it's way (32" Philips) does, and wondering if HDMI will make a difference, even though it is not capable of 1080p output. Does running 720p component look better/worse/same compared to 720p HDMI?

Component = Analog
