Default Speaker wiring

Hi all,

I just bought an Onkyo 605 receiver and a Polk 5.1 speaker set (RM6750). I'm wondering what the best type of wire would be to buy for this particular setup? It's just a small apartment so I wouldn't need much wire, but I'm wondering where to buy connectors/wire that isn't overpriced. I've heard around here that Monster Cable is overrated. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

you don't need "connectors" some people use banana plugs etc... but I just go bare-wire, and it works fine for me

I'd also get nothing higher than 14-16 gauge wire as well. 12 is what I usually use, 14 is fairly standard and 16 would be the highest I would go.

I agree with this, 12-14 gauge is the way to go.

Monoprice.com is a great place for home theater supplies.
