Onkyo TX SR705 - Blu-ray Forum

I have had the Onkyo TXSR705 receiver since Christmas and I am very happy with it. I do have one small problem. When using the coaxial digital input the sound would drop out for a few seconds and then come back on. I returned a perfectly good dvd player for this reason.(Yamaha DVD6860 in case you were wondering). Has anyone had a similar problem with this unit?

If you have a blu-ray player, is there a reason you're not running HDMI?

I am running HDMI for my Samsung BDP1400. The Yamaha I was using as a cd player which does not have HDMI.
