Firmware update - Blu-ray Forum

Any idea on when the next firmware update is? I know that we have one for the ps3 in the works, but what about for the psp? Before the ps3 was launched, it was mentioned that the psp could be used as an additional controller for a ps3 game. One such example was in F1 racing, however the feature never made it into the final copy and as of right now, I haven't read about one game that is going to use the psp as a controller. Is this idea ever going to be used or is it just too hard to make it work? The ps3 still has quite a long life to go and I would think that each additional year brings us something new.

i don;t think you will ever see the psp being used as a controller. Especially now that the dualshock has been released! I could see it being used in some games though....i think that would be kind cool to incorperate the psp into ps3 games...who knows....it just depends on it the developers see any potential in this and if they want to bother to program for it!

The only thing rumored that I heard for F1CE before the release, was that the PSP could be used as a rearview mirror. It never happened though.

It can be done, it just depends if anyone out there wants to use the feature.
