Default Help With Firmware Update

So i bought THE STRANGERS today, and it wont play. I have a Sony BD-S300. I found out that i need to have my blu-ray player at 4.20v. I currently have my player at 3.95v. so i got the firmware link off of this websitem and downloaded the correct ISO file and burned it to a blank CD-R disc. I then put the disc into my blu-ray player and it says "cant play disc"

Normally...it would say downloading to update the player, so how come it wont work this time?

First, I would highly advise downloading updates directly from Sony. The copy you have is probably good, but since Sony actually writes the software it's best to get it from them.

Also, make sure that in the burn settings for your upgrade, that you set it to "Finalize - No Further Writing Possible." I got the same error when I didn't finalize the burn.

Make sure that you burn it as an image(.iso) and not a data file.
