PS3 keeps disconnecting router, cant log on

Anyone use a linksys wrt54g? I used to be able to get on and I had to reboot my router every so often but now I cant even log on using it at all. Anyone use this router and know what I should do or does this router just suck for PS3

disable the media server on the ps3. i had the same problem with it constantly logging me off with the same router and disabling it fixed everything once i restarted.
to find it, its under network where all the system settings are.

I use to. But too many stupid disconnect issues like yourself.

I ended up getting a different brand router, no problems since.

I won't say Linksys is crap, I just had too many problems with mine. Others have no trouble, so it is probably just rare circumstance?

hey, i had that same problem. how are you securing your router? with a personal wap or wep password?for some reason, wep security was giving me that issue. but wap security didn't. also, if you know how to add mac addresses to your router, it helps. i didn't try that media thing slackr mention.

I have the same router, used to have the same issue you had. I disabled the media server on the PS3 and the issue went away. Give it a shot, should work.
