Default Wireless router for PS3??

Does anyone utilize a wireless router for thier PS3? Any issues with connectivity/response speed? Which would you recommend? Is the PS3 Wireless-N capable or any rumors that it may be? Thanks.

It's got a/b/g, no N capabilities that I know of. I have a belkin wireless-g router, and it works fine.

I connect through my wireless g router and it seems to work fine. The only issues I've ever had I think have been on the PSN side of things being slow.

Using a Apple Airport Extreme. It isn't cheap but it'll do g and n and the new version supports GigE copper. The other devices in my house want n's speed and range.

The 40-50$ Netgear model that is wireless has issues staying connection or connecting period to the PS3 if you have the Media Server function turned ON. I had major problems after moving to this model from Dlink. Once I turned off Media Server it works like a champ. Not sure if this is a PS3 or Netgear issue but Netgear forums lead to a Netgear issue.

note that the wireless antenna in the PS3 is located on the right side of the chassis. If the wireless access point faces the right side, the signal strength goes up a lot.

I use a buffalo technologies (WHRHPG54). The AOSS makes it soooo easy to setup with the PS3.

I use a Belkin with 11G abilities. Buffalo Tech is a good solution and have some of the best equipment but can be hard to find locally. Apples wireless solutions all work well as I have an Airtune, Airport Extreme and original Airport that all connect just fine with no difficulty. Agere are popular with large business but may not be seen at home due to the cost. IMHO I recomend staying away from D-link due to a large number of problems I have had with their units. I am an IT manager and have had most brands to at least demo if not own for the long term and D-links have not made it more than a few months.

I've a Linksys WRT54G. It works great with the PS3 (11.802g) 54 mbits/sec and WPA Security. It was a snap to setup but I dont much care for the DLNA functionality..... So I keep a 500 gig USB drive tied permanently to one of my PS3 usb ports instead. The drive holds all my music and 77,000 digital pics I've taken over the last 8 years. AND, the drive is only 20% full........
