What Game Studio Would you like to see Sony Buy? - Blu-ray Forum

Sony Inc. has promised to give more money to SCE(Sony Computer Entertainment), so who or what should they buy??

If Heavy Rain turns out as good as the hype around it then Quantic Dreams has my vote!

You can also post if you would like to see Sony use that money on exclusive games(like Microsoft)

Kaz Hirai has already made his stance pretty clear in regards to getting any 360 exclusives heh.

I'd say make a buy on Level 5.

Quantic Dreams is too niche. Nowhere near enough return on investment there.

My vote would go to Bethesda Softworks (Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3)

it was a joke MGS(metal gear solid) uses the same abeviation as MGS (microsoft game studios) some poeple belive that Sony paid for MGS4 so i thought it seemed apropiate

Oh and add in Insomniac and Sucker Punch. Well formalise it, or MS will guaranteed. MS were already caught sniffing around Insomniac (as a potential replacement for Bungie) but apparently Insomniac told MS where they could put their money...

I vote Atlus, Level 5, and 17% of Square Enix. ANd maybe a chunk of Namco or Capcom.

Last I checked, several former 360 exclusives are going to PS3. Kaz no like this?

I myself am not big fan of RPGs. Nothing against them, but I find other genres more interesting, and Insomniac has a lot of very talented people, and I hope that Sony and Insomniac can agree on a deal were Insomniac becomes a part of Sony, because Sony would loose quite a bit of force if Insomniac were bought by another company. I know Sony owns about all of the intellectual property that Insomniac has produced so far, but I believe that Sony would seriously boost their 1st party game business considerably by making sure that Insomniac will develop for them, and them only.

For me personally, I hope that Sony finds the cash needed, and Insomniac finds the deal good enough, to become a 1st party studio.
