How long before anybody will be making these available to UK & Europe. This could be an excellent alternative to Tape Backups that are now starting to reach the end of their development lives

I think that most manufacturer's will wait at least until hi-definiton tv is available over here, or until Blu-Ray movies begin to be released. So probably 2006 to coincide with Sky's hi-def service.
